About Warragul Plumber

Warragul Plumber is a plumbing enquiry and referral website run by Yes Right Pty Ltd. Independent licensed plumbers quote and carry out the work.

Warragul Plumber is an enquiry and referral website for plumbing jobs in Warragul and the nearby Baw Baw Shire towns. Yes Right Pty Ltd (ABN 91 664 546 061) runs it. The site takes your job details and passes them to an independent local plumbing business, and that business decides whether to quote and, if you accept, does the job under its own name.

This website is not a plumbing business. It does not hold a plumbing registration or licence, it has no workshop or vehicles in Warragul, and it does not publish customer reviews or photos of finished jobs. Any image on the site shows the kind of work a page talks about, not a job arranged through this website.

What happens after you send an enquiry?

  1. You fill in the enquiry form with your suburb, contact details and a description of the problem.
  2. Your details are passed to an independent provider that handles that type of plumbing in your area. Our privacy notice explains how that information is used.
  3. The provider contacts you, asks any questions it needs answered, and may ask for photos or a site visit before it gives a price.
  4. If you accept its quote, your agreement is directly with that provider.

Sending the form does not book an appointment. Whether a provider is available, how soon it replies and whether it takes the job are all decided by the provider, and none of that is promised by this site. If water is pouring through a ceiling or you smell gas, deal with the immediate danger first: turn off the water at the meter or the gas at the meter, keep people away, and contact your energy distributor or water corporation for problems on their side of the meter.

What is the provider responsible for?

The plumbing business that quotes is responsible for the quote itself, the scope and exclusions, the booking, the payment terms, the materials, the quality of the work, any warranty it offers and the paperwork the law requires. In Victoria that paperwork can include a plumbing compliance certificate. The Building and Plumbing Commission says a licensed plumber must issue one when the total value of the plumbing job goes over a set dollar threshold, and for some jobs at any value, including installing or replacing a Type A gas appliance, gas piping work and below-ground sanitary drains. The full list is on the BPC’s plumbing compliance certificates page. Only a licensed plumber can issue a certificate; a registered plumber has to work under a licensed plumber’s supervision for certifiable work.

Yes Right Pty Ltd may receive a referral fee from the provider. That fee is a matter between the provider and the operator and is not added to your enquiry by this website.

How do I check a plumber’s licence in Victoria?

The Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) registers and licenses plumbers and gasfitters in Victoria. It began on 1 July 2025 and took over the work of the former Victorian Building Authority, so older paperwork may still show the old name. Before you agree to any work:

  • Search the BPC’s find and check a practitioner tool by name, business name or licence number.
  • Check that the person’s licence covers the class of work you need. Drainage, gasfitting, water supply and sanitary plumbing are separate classes, so a plumber licensed for one may not be licensed for another.
  • Look at any conditions or limits shown on the register, and search the BPC’s compliance and enforcement register for past disciplinary action.
  • Ask who will be on site and whether that person holds the licence, or will be supervised by someone who does.
  • Ask for a written quote that lists what is included, what is not, and how any extra work will be agreed before it starts.

Complex gas installations are outside the BPC compliance certificate scheme and are overseen by Energy Safe Victoria, according to the BPC page linked above. Septic systems need a permit from Baw Baw Shire Council before they are installed or altered, which the provider and your building surveyor can explain.

Where does the site take enquiries from?

Enquiries are accepted from Warragul and the surrounding towns listed on the Warragul area page. The list of jobs people ask about is on the plumbing services page. Coverage of any particular address depends on the provider that considers the job, not on this website.

Next step

Write down what is wrong, where it is, how long it has been happening and what you have already tried, then send your plumbing enquiry to a local provider. Include your suburb and a photo of the fixture, the hot water unit’s data plate or the drain opening if you can take one safely.
